This fantastic dress from the 1960s features an empire line, belt hoops, zip closure at the back and straight line skirt with some pleats on the hips for added volume.
Beautiful black matt velvet bodice with no stretch and taffeta black and white striped skirt and cuffs. No composition labels but velvet might be cotton and skirt might be acetate.

Condition: great vintage condition overall – there’s only some tiny marks as pictured that are unnoticeable when worn, and some light yellowish staining on the inside around the hem due to age/wear that should come off with stain remover. I’ve already washed the dress and applied some stain remover on some similar stains I found on the outside and they all came off. Other than that there’s some creasing on the elbows from wear which is expected.
